Overview

Digital Terrestrial Broadcasts

The 776 LAN-Caster Appliance provides the interface between digital terrestrial broadcasts and IP Networks. The LAN-Caster Appliance is the gateway between DVB broadcasts such as Freeview and an organisation's network. A single LAN-Caster DVB-T to IP Gateway Appliance is able to deliver a complete DVB-T multiplex onto an IP Network.

Deliver a Complete DVB-T Multiplex

Connect a DVB-T aerial signal into the LAN-Caster DVB-T to IP Gateway and use the simple browser based control interface to stream up to 11 channels of live TV and Radio from a single RF multiplex to any networked PC using the MediaStar Evolution desktop viewing software,(Part 761), or video display device using the MediaStar Evolution IPTV Receiver, (Part 780).

Network Compatible

Each 776 LAN-Caster takes an RF DVB-T feed, extracts and filters the MPEG-2 Transport Stream packets and retransmits over a Multicast and Unicast network via a RJ45 network interface.

Expandable

The LAN-Caster DVB-T to IP Gateway is housed in a stand-alone freestanding metal box. Adding more LAN-Caster Appliances and accessing different DVB Multiplexes is simple.
