| Overview | |
MediaStar Evolution IPTV 775 Encoders generate either a single MPEG-2 or an MPEG-4 "dual output" encoded stream to ensure best performance and minimise impact on the network. A high bit rate stream directs video to large displays where vision quality is paramount. A second lower bit rate stream is simultaneously encoded and can be directed to desktop PCs and small displays where lower resolution is acceptable. A MediaStar hardware decoder or software viewing application connected to the LAN/WAN can decode the data streams from the network and present video and audio for viewing at multiple remote locations. Complete Bandwidth streaming control The Evolution 775 Encoder accommodates different content requirements and network parameters by allowing MPEG streams to be configured at pre-defined constant bit rates, irrespective of picture content, or variable bit rates. An acceptable picture quantisation value can be selected to operate within a specified maximum bit rate, or a defined average bit rate limited to a pre-determined peak, to provide improved picture quality. Network Compatible Each Evolution 775 Encoder takes Composite or component analogue video inputs, encodes into MPEG-2 UDP Transport Stream packets or MPEG-4 RTSP packets and retransmits over a Multicast and Unicast network via a RJ45 network interface. Expandable The Evolution 775 Encoder is housed in a stand-alone freestanding metal box. Adding more Evolution Appliances and accessing different video sources is simple. Included in the Scope of Delivery 775 Appliance, Encoder Quick Start Guide, IP address label, CD with USB driver, 4 x 10mm self adhesive feet, 2 metre Cat-5 patch cable, 2 metre USB 2.0 A to B cable, 2 metre RS232 cable, 12V DC external power supply, 2 metre USA & UK 'figure 8' power cords. |
